Terms

The terms for using Living Teardown: what the site is, your account, using what you read, and what it promises.

Last updated November 7, 2026.

These terms

Living Teardown (livingteardown.com) is run by its founder, in Thailand ("we"). By using the site you agree to these terms; by creating an account you agree to them as a contract with us. How your data is handled is in the privacy policy.

What the site is

Living Teardown explains how technology companies work: what they make, why people choose their products and how the business makes its money. It is general information, written for learning. It is not personal financial, legal or tax advice: it does not know your circumstances and never tells you what to buy or sell. What you decide to do with it is your own decision.

The figures come from the companies' own filings with the SEC and are computed in code; each reported number links to the filing it came from. We work to get them right, and a figure or a sentence can still be wrong or out of date. Check the filing before relying on a number, and tell us when something is wrong.

Your account

Reading needs no account. An account is free; it is yours alone, and you are responsible for what is done with it, so keep access to your email safe. You can delete it at any time by writing to privacy@livingteardown.com. We may suspend an account that breaks these terms.

Using what you read

The teardowns, the product breakdowns and the site's design belong to us. You are welcome to read them, share links to them and quote short passages with a link back to the page. Copying whole teardowns, republishing them or selling them needs our written permission.

Search engines and AI assistants may read and quote the pages as the site's robots.txt allows. The SEC's filings are public records. Company names, product names and logos belong to their owners and are used only to say which company or product a page is about.

Using the site fairly

Use the site as a reader would. Do not try to break it, get around its limits or reach parts of it you were not given; do not overload it with automated requests beyond what robots.txt allows; do not use it to send spam or to impersonate anyone. To report a security problem, write to privacy@livingteardown.com.

If you send us an idea or a correction, we may use it freely, with no obligation to you.

What the site promises

The site is offered as it is and as it is available. We may change it, add to it or stop a part of it at any time. As far as the law allows, we make no promise that it is accurate, complete, current or always available, or that it fits any particular use.

As far as the law allows, we are not responsible for any decision made on the basis of the site, or for indirect losses such as lost profits or lost data. Our total responsibility to you for anything to do with the site is limited to US$50. None of this limits a responsibility that the law does not allow to be limited, such as for fraud, gross negligence or wilful misconduct.

The law that applies

These terms are governed by the laws of Thailand, and the courts of Thailand decide any dispute about them. If you live somewhere whose consumer law gives you rights these terms cannot take away, you keep them.

If one part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.

Changes to these terms

A change to these terms is made on this page with a new date at the top. When a change matters, signed-in readers are told by email before it applies, and using the site after that means you accept it. Questions about these terms go to privacy@livingteardown.com.
